SNAP - A Look At Injustice In America is a detailed look at critical events in American history that affected the lives of African American people. The documentary film features the highly celebrate works of the late photographer/historian Dr. Ernest C. Withers of Memphis, Tennessee. The events include the Montgomery Bus Boycott, the Memphis Sanitation Workers Strike, the Assassination of Medgar Evers, Negro League Baseball and much more.
All of the photographic images shown in the film are on display at the Withers Collection Museum & Gallery located on world famous Beale Street in Memphis, founded by Dr. Withers’ daughter, Rosalind Withers. This film was produced and directed by award winning filmmaker, Chuck O’Bannon.
